Murray’s Bagels Closed!!!

I just got home from work and was craving an onion bagel with sliced lox, cream cheese, tomato, and onion from the only good bagels in the city. I was very surprised to see that Murray’s Bagels in Chelsea was closed by order of the commissioner of health and mental hygiene! Hmmm. I guess I’ll have to drive to Long Island if I want a good bagel from now on.

burritoville… back in business?

It was almost a year ago when I came back to Chelsea after working all day and wanted a delicious burrito from my favorite local burrito place, but it was closed. Shortly after that, I walked by again and it was still closed. This was shortly after the market crashed last year, so I assumed that Burritoville had felt the effects and went out of business. My suspicions were confirmed when I noticed that their West Village location was closed as well.
I saw a sign in the window a few days ago that said that a new hamburger place was moving in. Not really what I was looking for in a new restaurant on my block, but it could have been worse. Now let’s get to the point of my midnight ramblings.
Tonight I walked by and saw the sign pictured above… Burritoville Coming Soon! YES!!! I don’t know what happened and I’m definitely going to ask when it re-opens. I just can’t wait to get in there and have a Holy Mole Burrito or some Nachos. Chipotle & Qdoba did a decent job of filling in the gap, but simply do not compare. Welcome back Burritoville!
tree falls outside of lasagna ristorante

Saw this tonight at around 10:00pm @ 20th St & 8th Ave in Chelsea, outside Lasagna Ristorante. All I know is that a tree had broken and fallen on a building and police roped up a small area with that yellow tape. Hey, I’m no reporter and I was on my way to Pinkberry!

the caroline – now is your chance!

The Caroline is my favorite Full Service Luxury Building in Chelsea. But if you want an apartment there, you have to be in the right place at the right time. Well NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME!!! There are currently 16 apartments that just popped up and I pretty much guarantee that next week there will only be 2 or 3 left. This happens about once per month and everyone rushes in and takes all of the apartments within about a week.
